Week 6 NFL DFS Cheat Sheet – Tight Ends (TE) – FanDuel & DraftKings Expert Lineup Picks & Analysis.

Welcome to the Tight End Cheat Sheet.

In this post we sharing our top options and plays at the TE position for each DFS week of the 2016-2017 NFL season.

We will break them down into four tiers and give you our top plays in each tier, we will also be highlighting players for a specific site when the pricing or scoring of that site calls for it.

The tiers are as follows:

  1. Top Tier
  2. Mid Tier
  3. Value Tier
  4. GPP Tier

Here we go…

Top Tier

Top Play- Greg Olsen ($8,100 FD; $7,000 DK)

Olsen remains the elite TE so far in 2016.  A near lock for double digit targets, he continues to be the focal point of the Panthers’ attack regardless of who is under center.  This week should be a shoot-out as the Panthers travel to New Orleans to take on the Saints – and I like the odds that Olsen finishes this week as one of the top producers at the position – yet again in Week 6.

Top Play – Jimmy Graham ($6,900 FD; $4,900 DK)

Jimmy Graham has posted back to back weeks where he has been a top performer at the position.  No one questioned whether or not he has an elite skill set – when healthy.  Well, it looks like he is fully healthy and ready to go now, especially with Seattle coming off of a bye week.  He remains dirt cheap on DraftKings at $4,900 – and although he is a little pricey on FD, he is still a very strong option on that site in my opinion.

FanDuel – Delanie Walker ($6,700 FD)

Walker is relatively more expensive on DK ($5,500) – but on FD, he remains an elite play.  He is really the only reliable threat through the air for Marcus Mariota to hit – and in a match-up against Cleveland this week, I like his chances of building off last week’s 5-66-1 line against MIA.

Mid Tier

Top Play – Zach Miller ($5,800 FD; $3,800 DK)

Miller has hit double digit points in 3 of the past 4 weeks, and this week – the Bears get a juicy match-up with Jacksonville, where they are projected to score 24 points.  Miller should continue to see a steady diet of passes from Brian Hoyer – and he is in a good spot for an affordable price this week.

Top Play – Travis Kelce ($6,400 FD; $5,000 DK)

Kelce has seen at least 7 targets in each of the 4 KC games so far this year, and this week they face Oakland, who struggle to defend the position.  He is affordable on each site and is a very strong option.  I like his chances of getting a TD this week, which would make it three straight him.

Value Tier

Top Play – Gary Barnidge ($5,300 FD; $3,300 DK)

I don’t particularly love any of the punt options this week, but it is hard to argue with the role Barnidge plays in the Cleveland passing attack.  He has seen 5-6-7-8 targets over the past four games, and is a safe bet to see another 6-8 this week as the Browns face the Titans.  I wouldn’t expect a high ceiling here – but he should be a safe, reliable option if you are looking to free up a little extra cash than the mid-tier options.

GPP Tier

Top Play – Martellus Bennett ($6,600 FD; $4,500 DK)

This wreaks of chasing points, but it would not shock me to continue to see Bennett as a key cog in the Patriots offence.  Until I see Gronkowski in top form, I will not be rostering him at his current price levels.  Sure – he will have a monster week one time for his first ‘showing’ of the year, but I don’t want to be tossing away entries waiting for it, especially in a match-up against the Bengals.  Bennett is making plays for the Pats, and there is no reason for him to all of a sudden become irrelevant.  He remains a strong GPP play in Week 6.

Top Play – Charles Clay ($5,300 FD; $2,900 DK)

Clay has slowly been coming on for the Bills – and you have a shot here to get him with what should be extremely low ownership in a great match-up.  The Bills are projected to score 26.5 points this week – and unless you envision McCoy and Tyrod Taylor running the ball in each time, Tyrod will have to throw the ball somewhere.  He has caught 5 balls each of the past two weeks, and it is only a matter of time before he finds the end-zone.  I like him as a punt or as a stack with Tyrod Taylor this week in GPP’s.
